It is Dr. Selena’s goal to ensure she continues practicing using evidence-based care to allow for her patients to achieve results and go on to living up to their fullest potential.
Dr. Selena began her studies at Eastern Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, minoring in Biochemistry. She then went on to pursue an accelerated 3.5 year-long Doctorate of Chiropractic program at New York Chiropractic College. After a year of vigorous didactic studies in chiropractic, Selena concurrently began her Master’s degree program in Acupuncture through the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. This 32-month program immersed her in the history, foundation, and application of acupuncture.
While in school, Dr. Selena underwent clinical rotations at the Rochester and Canandaigua Veteran’s Affairs Hospitals, provided care in underserved neighborhoods and mental health/addiction facilities, as well as offering care to athletes at racing events. Near the end of her studies, Dr. Selena took it upon herself to shadow local chiropractors in the Breckenridge area during a family visit. She fell in love not only with the atmosphere of Colorado but the mentality of those who live here. From then on, she dedicated herself to moving to Colorado so as to provide care to those in need in the Denver metro area.
Dr. Selena’s experience includes caring for those with mental/emotional conditions, pregnancy and fertility-related conditions, extremity conditions (knee, elbow, hand and foot pain/injuries), menstrual irregularities, post-MVA accident, back pain, neck pain, headaches, digestive issues, TMJ dysfunction, and more.
