Move More. Hurt Less.
There are over 200 bones in the human body, and almost all of those bones are attached to other bones via joints that move! Moving yourself in a gentle, nurturing manner helps to lubricate the joints and loosen stiff muscles.
Moving Your Body Feels Good!
Stagnant muscles and joints become sore and achy. Freeing your bones helps to make you stronger and more flexible, while improving balance, gait, ease, and all manner of athletic performance.
We offer rejuvenating classes in Taiji (Tai Chi), Qigong (Chi Gong), Pilates, Yoga, and the Feldenkrais Method®. All of our classes are taught by experienced professionals who believe that healthy movement feels good and can be done by ANYONE.
Each discipline that we teach reinforces key elements of breath, relaxation, alignment, and efficiency—qualities that improve health, healing, and performance!
You don't need previous experience or special clothes. COME AS YOU ARE AND LEAVE FEELING BETTER!
Taiji (Tai Chi) is a flowing, connected set of movements that explore the natural power and coordination of a calm mind and relaxed body. This profound and gentle system is based on the principles of balance and harmony, and the development of spirit, intention, and strength.
Qigong (Chi Gong) is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy (qi).
Pilates is a gentle, controlled form of exercise designed to work the whole body while awakening muscles and freeing the joints. Regular Pilates practice can help to unlock the inherent strength, tone and grace of your body.
Yoga is an ancient practice designed to open the joints and strengthen the body while calming the mind to help the practitioner live fully in the present moment. Special breathing techniques promote deep relaxation, balance, and healing, as well as developing lung capacity and awareness while flowing in and out of poses.
Awareness Through Movement (ATM) classes use attention in place of effort to achieve new levels of strength, flexibility, and grace. Improved organization leads to increased range of movement, reduction in pain, better performance in sports, and a higher level of health overall.
