Part 1 of 2
More than 35 million Americans suffer from Allergies. An allergic reaction is simply an improper response of the immune system to an otherwise harmless substance, such as food, vitamins, medications, pollen, flowers, weeds, grasses, trees, dust,
formaldehydes, plastics metals, etc. The body reacts by releasing powerful chemicals that cause classic symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, rashes, depression, asthma, fatigue, headaches, depression, arthritis, and many other disease or symptoms.
Many health problems in people all over the world are undiagnosed, allergic reactions. Many allergy sufferers have managed their symptoms for years, and most of this management takes the form of immunizations and medications with occasional relief.
Most patients take different antihistamine medications on the daily basis to manage their symptoms, such as running nose and itchy eyes. There is no known successful method of treatment for food allergies using Western medicine except avoidance, which means deprivation and frustration.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine supports and strengthens the systems of the body that involve the production of Wei (Defensive) Qi (pronounced chee). The Chinese concept of Wei Qi is similar to the Western concept of the immune system. By building up the supply of Wei Qi, and facilitating the free flow of Qi through the meridian pathways, signs and symptoms that are related to allergies, could be reduced and/or eliminated. Chinese medicine views allergies as the body's way of letting the patient know there is an imbalance. Most patients have an imbalance in the immune system. Acupuncture works by rebalancing and strengthening the immune system. This allows the body to eliminate many allergies without medication or immunizations.
Acupuncture treatments may be combined with Chinese herbs, and other dietary changes. These therapies help to accelerate the healing process in order to balance, build, and support the Wei Qi of the body. This then strengthens and rebalances the immune system, giving the patient symptomatic relief.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is a drug-free, safe, neutral, and effective way to eliminate hay fever, and other allergies, and keep your healthy.
I have patients tell me all the time they can breathe better, dine out without worry, go into places that have cats or dogs without their noses running, or eyes itching or watering. They no longer need their inhaler. They also state that they wished they started treatments earlier.
