Dana Rogers is a licensed acupuncturist with a Diplomat of Acupuncture certification by NCCAOM. She began her Chinese Medicine career when, after 12 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist, she began to refer many of her patients with acute and chronic pain for acupuncture. She learned that acupuncture helped her regular patients (many were elite athletes) to heal faster and perform better. Finally, when Dana’s family received effective treatments for allergies and stress, she needed to know more.
Dana enrolled at Southwest Acupuncture College and in 2015 she graduated with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. Today she seamlessly blends massage and acupuncture into unique healing sessions.
Dana thoroughly enjoys working with new patients and strives to make the treatments both enjoyable and educational. She has specialty clinical experience in the areas of women’s health, cancer recovery, geriatrics, and 5-element acupuncture which harmonizes the relationship between physical and emotional symptoms. For example, consider how stress impacts shoulder tension or anxiety and grief affect your digestion.
In 2016, after years of watching her mother receive acupuncture treatments for Retinitis Pigmentosa, Dana sought special training in the treatment of chronic degenerative eye diseases. She knows that vision preservation is such a necessary part of our lives. Currently, western treatment options offer limited solutions at best for patients with diseases like Macular Degeneration, Stargardt’s and Retinitis Pigmentosa. Chinese medicine does offer options to prolong and even enhance visual acuity when faced with these degenerative diseases. Dana is very excited to offer these solutions to her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Dana enjoys going to the theatre, dance and good music. She also loves a good mystery, solving puzzles and learning something new every day.
